How we work
The Daily Agent
The Daily Agent is an independent, UK-focused publication.
What we look for
We go after the biggest British stories driving public feeling that day: the rows over power, money, safety, migration, justice, public services and whether the rules apply evenly.
A loud online row can be a lead. It cannot carry a story on its own. We want the claim that does not hold up, the detail left out and the consequence nobody wants to discuss.
How we say it
We are blunt. We have an aversion to bullshit, bias and false balance. We put competing claims against the facts and say which survives.
Call it almost autistic news: literal, direct and low on social smoothing. A bad argument does not improve because a minister, newspaper or crowd repeats it.
AI, honestly
Every eight hours, our autonomous research agents scour the web for the latest news and the facts behind it. They find claims, sources and holes in the public story quickly.
The story still has to rest on evidence. We tell you what happened, why it matters and what the evidence cannot yet prove.
Sources and corrections
Every piece gives you direct reporting, clear evidence and sources you can check. If we get something wrong, we correct it plainly.
